ABS (acrylic butadiene styrene) is a kind of thermoplastic engineering plastic with good impact resistance, heat resistance and mechanical strength. It is formed by copolymerization of acrylonitrile, butadiene and styrene.

ABS shell is usually manufactured by vacuum forming process. This process firstly heats the ABS plate to a softened state, and then makes the softened plate adhere to the surface of the mold to form a product with the required shape by the action of the mold and negative pressure. And then cooling and shaping to obtain the finished product.
