Principle of deceleration of electric tricycle gear motor

The structure and function of the deceleration device:

The gear motor is mainly composed of the motor body and the deceleration device. The deceleration device of electric tricycle motor as well as motorcycle motor and lawnmower motors usually consists of a series of gears, belts, chains and other transmission parts, whose function is to reduce the rotational speed of the output shaft of the motor and increase the output torque at the same time. Common deceleration devices include gear reducers, worm gear reducers, planetary gear reducers, and so on.

Reduction principle:

Gear reduction: Through the meshing of the large gear with the small gear, the high-speed rotation of the small gear is transferred to the large gear, thus reducing the rotational speed. The gear ratio determines the degree of deceleration, and the larger the gear ratio, the more obvious the deceleration effect.

Worm Gear Reduction: Utilizing the meshing of the worm and worm gear, the spiral teeth of the worm gear come into contact with the teeth of the worm gear to transfer the power to the worm gear. Since the helical rise angle of the worm is smaller, the number of teeth of the worm wheel is larger, thus realizing a larger reduction ratio.

Planetary Gear Reducer: It consists of sun wheel, planetary wheel and internal gear ring. The sun wheel meshes with the planetary wheel, which in turn meshes with the internal gear ring. By fixing one of the components, different reduction ratios can be realized.
