SS-160 is a highly adaptable silica matting agent designed for gravure, lithography, screen printing and special printing ink systems. By precisely

controlling the oil absorption value and surface activity, it achieves excellent matte effect while ensuring the perfect balance between the rheological

properties and printability of the ink system. With its optimized pore structure and surface modification process, this product has become an ideal

choice for high-demand printing scenarios.

- Precise control of oil absorption value

The oil absorption value (DOP method) of SS-160 is strictly controlled in the range of 260-320g/100g, and the ink performance is enabled through

the following mechanisms:

• Stable viscosity: Accurately adsorb resin and solvent to avoid a sudden increase in system viscosity caused by excessive oil absorption, ensuring

the high-speed transfer of gravure inks and the fluidity of lithographic inks;

• Optimized leveling: Dynamically balance the amount of resin adsorption, reduce ink layer shrinkage, and improve the film uniformity and edge clarity

of screen printing inks;

- Multi-process adaptation design

• Broad-spectrum compatibility: After hydrophobic-lipophilic dual modification, it is suitable for solvent-based, water-based and UV-curable inks, and

has excellent compatibility with acrylic, polyurethane and other resins;

• Anti-sedimentation enhancement: Surface charge control technology inhibits particle sedimentation during storage, and the ink can be used after

light stirring after opening, reducing loss;

• Drying synergy: Open pores accelerate solvent release, and hot air or IR drying system can shorten the drying time by 15%-25%.

- Special printing enhancement

For special scenarios such as metal printing and anti-counterfeiting inks, its particle size range of 3.5-4.0μm (D50) can form micron-level surface textures,

enhance the wear resistance and tactile performance of the ink layer, and avoid the risk of screen clogging.

- Application areas

• Gravure/lithographic printing: Matt surface treatment of food packaging, book and magazine color pages, etc., with a 30% increase in scratch resistance;
