An EPS (Expanded Polystyrene) foam sandwich vacuum insulation panel is a construction material designed for thermal insulation purposes. It can meet the energy-saving requirements of EU Renewable Energy Directive, thus is favored by many countries for buildings project to save energy and space.
Once the surface of VIP is protected by EPS when applied in construction, the service life of VIP can be increased accordingly. Because once lost vacuum, the insulation performance will lose effect. In some cases when the VIP surface need to touch the castables, we can sandwich VIP with other materials like EPS for better protection.
