The two advantages of common-mode choke coils

Common-mode choke coils have two advantages：

The biggest feature of the common mode choke coil is that it can separate noise and signal without using frequency. The signal frequency in high-speed differential transmission lines is very high, so it cannot be properly separated like ferrite beads, and filters that use frequency to distinguish between noise and signal cannot be properly separated. If attention is paid to the impact on the signal, the noise cannot be removed, if attention is paid to the removal of noise, some signals will also attenuate, affecting the quality of the signal.

The common mode choke coil separates the signal and interference according to the transmission mode, so even through the high-speed signal, as long as it is differential mode, it will not cause impact. The signal in the high-speed differential transmission line only has the principle difference mode, where the main interference is common mode, so by using the common mode choke coil, the common mode interference can be effectively eliminated without affecting the high-speed signal.
