Pharmacological action : Antiparasitic drugs. Albendazole has broad-spectrum dewomingactivity and has strong anthelmintic effect on nematodes, tapeworms and trematodes. ltsmechanism of action is to bind to tubulin in worms and prevent it from multimerizing witha -tubulin to fom microtubules, thereby affecting cell reproduction processes such as mitosisprotein assembly and energy metabolism in worms.lvermectin has a good repellent effect oninternal and external parasites, especially arthropods and internal nematodes, and is mainly usecto expel gastrointestinal nematodes, pneumonematodes and external parasites in pigs. ltsanthelmintic mechanism is to promote the release ofY-aminobutyric acid (GABA) frompresynaptic neurons, thereby opening GABA-mediated ion channels. lon current can reduce theimpedance of the cell membrane and cause slight depolarization ofthe resting potential of thepostsynaptic membrane, thereby interfering with the signal transmission between nerves and87%muscles, causing the worm to relax and paralyze, leading to the death or expulsion ofthe worm.
