What is L-Ergothioneine？

Ergothioneine (L-Ergothioneine, EGT) is a rare natural chiral amino acid. It is a white crystal at room temperature and has strong water solubility. It can dissolve 0.9 mol/L at room temperature and will not self-oxidize in physiological pH and strong alkaline solutions.
