Constitute：

A simple transformer is composed of a closed magnetic conductor and two windings, one of which is connected to the AC power supply, called the primary winding Np, and the other can be connected to the load, called the secondary winding Ns. If the primary winding is connected to a power supply with AC voltage Ui, the transformer is at no-load, generating alternating power supply Io in the primary winding, Io is called no-load current.

How it works:

The electronic transformer is a non-regulated switching power supply, which is actually an inverter. First the alternating current is rectified into direct current. Then use electronic components to form a high frequency oscillator to change the direct current into high frequency alternating current, output the required voltage through the switching transformer and then use the secondary rectifier for the power supply. Switching power supply has the advantages of small size, light weight and low price, so it is widely used in various electrical appliances. According to the different driving mode of the high-frequency switching tube, it can be divided into self-excited oscillation type and other excited type.
