The treatment plan was determined according to the age, fracture site and classification. The age limit depends on the growth and development of the child. Clinical experience suggests that the lower limit is generally 3-4 years and the upper limit is generally 13-15 years. The fracture types included transverse, short oblique or transverse with wedge-shaped fragments, long oblique with cortical support, spiral, multi-segment and double-focus fractures, and pathological fractures caused by adolescent bone cysts. The fracture sites included femoral cadre, proximal femoral metaphyseal, proximal femoral subtrochanteric region, femur cadre, distal leg metaphyseal, humeral cadre and subhead region, humeral supracondylar region, ulna and radius diaphysis, radial neck and radial head.
Extended clinical indications are multiple trauma, craniocerebral trauma (which can be beyond the age range mentioned above), pathologic fractures due to benign bone cysts, prophylactic fixation of bone cysts in children, patients with osteogenesis imperfecta, and fractures of the humerus and forearm in adults.
Each elastic interlocking nail has three supporting points on the medial side of the bone marrow, and two elastic nails are inserted from the metaphysis, using the elastic, stable biomechanical principle.
