1 Introduction

The through tubing anchor is designed to provide a positive means of anchoring

an insert subsurface pump at any point in a tubing string, without the need of a

seating nipple.

2 Main Technical Parameters

3 Performance Feature

1) The anchor of the pump can be realized in any part of the downhole, without

the use of the traditional mechanical seating nipple, reducing the operation cost

of the RIH and the pump inspection cost;

2) Complete vertical operation: RIH, pack-off, release and reset, and no rotation

operation is required.

4 Application

The tool may be used where:

1) Setting depth of a pump can be changed, as the working fluid level in the well changes.

2) Without install mechanical seating nipple at the bottom of well or mechanical seating

nipple can not be used normally.

3) The tubing near the seating nipple shows wear or leak.
