IC card water meter is a type of water meter that integrates microcomputer control technology and smart card technology. It can not only record and display water usage electronically, but also automatically control water usage and calculate water fees based on tiered pricing. It also has the function of storing water usage data. The usage process of IC card water meters usually includes the user inserting an IC card containing an amount into the reader/writer of the water meter. After the microcomputer module recognizes and downloads the amount, the valve opens and the user can use water normally. When the water consumption reaches a certain value, the water meter will sound an alarm or automatically close the valves, prompting the user to purchase water or recharge. It has changed the traditional mode of water use and charging, realizing the management mode of "pay first, use later", improving the modernization level of water supply management, reducing water theft and leakage, and also facilitating users, avoiding the inconvenience of checking tables and charging.

IC card water meters are usually used in conjunction with the following types of valves:

1. Electric ball valve: This type of valve controls the opening and closing of water flow by driving the ball to rotate through a motor. It is suitable for IC card water meters because it can be remotely controlled, making it easy to implement a management mode of paying before using water.

2. Electromagnetic valve: uses the magnetic force generated by the electromagnetic coil to control the opening and closing of the valve, suitable for situations that require quick response, such as the automatic control system of IC card water meters.

3. Butterfly valve: Control water flow by rotating the butterfly plate, with a simple structure and suitable for large-diameter pipelines. It can be used in conjunction with IC card water meters to achieve flow control.

4. Diaphragm control valve: uses the movement of the diaphragm to control the flow of fluid, suitable for situations where it is necessary to prevent contact between the medium and the metal parts of the valve, such as the transportation of corrosive media.

5. Gate valve: The water flow is controlled by the lifting and lowering of the gate plate, which is suitable for situations that require reliable shut-off. It can be used in conjunction with IC card water meters to ensure reliable shut-off of the water source when the user does not pay.

6. Check valve: prevents water backflow, protects water meters and pipeline systems, and is often installed together with IC card water meters in water supply systems.

7. Pressure reducing valve: used to regulate water pressure and ensure stable water pressure in the water supply system. When used in conjunction with IC card water meters, it can improve the stability and safety of the system.

8. Filter: Although not a valve, a Y-shape filter is used to remove impurities from water and protect IC card water meters and valves from damage.
