Which valves should be used in conjunction with

1. Gate valve: In the fire water supply system, buried pipeline valves are usually recommended to use non rising stem gate valve with opening and closing scales, while corrosion-resistant rising stem gate valves can be used in valve wells. Gate valves are used to control the opening and closing of water flow, and when used in conjunction with ultrasonic flow meters, can accurately control and measure flow.

2. Butterfly valve: In the selection of valves for indoor and outdoor overhead pipelines, butterfly valves are recommended for their easy operation. They can be used in conjunction with ultrasonic flow meters to control and measure water flow in firefighting pipelines.

3. Check valve: The check valve on the outlet pipe of the fire pump should use a water hammer elimination check valve to prevent water hammer effect. When the water supply height exceeds 24 meters, a water hammer eliminator should be used. Check valves ensure one-way flow of water, prevent backflow, and work together with ultrasonic flow meters to ensure measurement accuracy.

4. Pressure reducing valve: The pressure reducing valve should be installed before the inlet of the alarm valve group, and a filter should be installed at its inlet. Pressure gauges should be installed before and after the filter and pressure reducing valve, and control valves should be installed before and after the filter and pressure reducing valve. The pressure reducing valve is used to reduce the water flow pressure to the required level of the system, and is used in conjunction with an ultrasonic flowmeter to monitor the flow rate after pressure reduction.
