Cut off and connect the medium: The manual flat valve is mainly used to cut off or connect the medium in the pipeline, such as in the oil and natural gas pipeline, which can control the flow of the medium and realize the connection and disconnection of the pipeline.
Good fluid control: When fully open, the channel is smooth and straight, the flow resistance coefficient is extremely small, there is no pressure loss, the medium can pass smoothly, and the flat gate valve with diversion holes is also convenient for cleaning the pipeline.
Adapt to a variety of media: Using different materials, the manual flat valve can be used for water, steam, oil, nitric acid, acetic acid, oxidizing media, urea and other media.
Precautions
Inspect before installation:
Check the appearance of the valve: Check whether the valve body is damaged, sand particles are attached or other dirt, ensure that the valve cavity and sealing surface are clean, and no debris is allowed.
Check the valve model: Before installing the valve, the user must check the valve model, connection size and pay attention to the flow direction of the medium to ensure consistency with the valve requirements.
Check the connection parts: The bolts of each connection part are required to be tightened evenly to ensure that the valve is installed firmly. For valves connected by welding, the welding process should be followed to prevent impurities from falling into the pipeline during welding, and non-destructive testing of the weld should be performed after welding.
Precautions during installation:
Reserve operating space: When installing the valve, the user must reserve the necessary space for valve drive to facilitate manual operation of the handwheel.
Pay attention to the installation direction: The installation position, height, and inlet and outlet directions must meet the design requirements. The flow arrow of the valve should be consistent with the flow direction of the medium in the pipeline to avoid installation errors that cause the medium to not flow normally or damage the valve.
For all types of manual valves installed on insulated pipes, the handles must not be downward: to prevent the handle from overheating due to heat transfer, scalding the operator or affecting the normal operation of the valve.
Precautions during operation:
Operation direction: When manually opening the valve, the handwheel should be turned counterclockwise, and when closing, the handwheel should be turned clockwise. The force should be even, and the valve opening speed should not be too fast to avoid force impact and damage to the pipe fittings.
Avoid excessive operation: When closing or opening to the top dead center or bottom dead center, it should be rotated 1/2 to 1 turn to avoid overtightening the valve stem, so that the gate is in a floating state and prevent damage to the valve's sealing structure and transmission parts.
Monitor the operation of the valve: During the opening and closing of the valve, the valve opening and closing indication and the operation of the valve stem should be closely monitored. If the signal indicator light indicates incorrectly, the valve makes abnormal sounds, or the valve stem moves abnormally, the machine should be stopped for inspection in time.
Maintenance and care:
Regular grease injection and lubrication: During the use of the valve, a certain amount of grease should be regularly injected into the grease injection joint of the valve cap to reduce the friction between the valve stem and the packing, ensure that the valve is flexible in opening and closing, and extend the service life of the valve.
Replace wearing parts in time: If the valve leaks or other faults occur due to wearing parts, wearing parts such as valve seat seals and gates should be replaced in time to ensure the normal operation and sealing performance of the valve.
Clean the inner cavity regularly: During the valve maintenance process, the inner cavity should be cleaned to remove internal impurities, dirt and residual media to prevent them from affecting the sealing performance and normal operation of the valve. Grease should be added to each transmission part during assembly.
