Pipeline electromagnetic flowmeter is an induction instrument that measures the volume flow rate of conductive medium inside a pipe based on Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction.

1. Characteristics

① Accurate measurement: High measurement accuracy, not affected by changes in density, viscosity, temperature, pressure, and conductivity of the measured medium, as long as the conductivity is above a certain threshold.

② Non blocking components: The measuring pipeline is a smooth straight pipe without any flow blocking components, which will not cause pressure loss and is not prone to fluid blockage. It has good energy-saving effect and is suitable for measuring liquid-solid two-phase fluids containing solid impurities or fibers.

③ Fast response: No mechanical inertia, fast response, good stability, can be applied to automatic detection, adjustment, and program control systems, and can also measure pulsating flow and flow in both forward and reverse directions.

④ Wide applicability: The flow rate range is large, usually 20:1-50:1, and the liquid flow rate at full scale can be selected within the range of 0.5m/s-10m/s. The caliber range is wide, from a few millimeters to 3m. The material selection for the parts in contact with the fluid is convenient, and different lining and electrode materials are used to adapt to various corrosive media.

2. Installation requirements

① Avoid interference sources: Try to avoid magnetic objects and equipment with strong electromagnetic fields, such as large motors, transformers, etc., to prevent the magnetic field from affecting the working magnetic field and flow signal of the sensor; It is also necessary to avoid vibration sources or install vibration reduction pipes.

② Choose a suitable installation environment: Try to install it in a dry and ventilated place, not in a damp or water prone area, and avoid direct sunlight and rain as much as possible. Choose a place that is easy to maintain and move around.

③ Pay attention to the installation position: The flowmeter should be installed at the rear end of the water pump and must not be installed on the suction side. The valve should be installed on the downstream side of the flow rate. Sensors can be installed on both straight and horizontal or inclined pipelines, but the centerline of the two electrodes must be in a horizontal state. For liquid-solid two-phase fluids, it is best to use vertical installation.
