Seamless steel tubes are rolled into round steel from ingots, hot punched to obtain tube blanks, and then hot rolled, cold rolled or cold drawn to make seamless tubes. The steel pipe without weld on the surface is called seamless steel pipe. Seamless steel pipe can be divided into hot rolled seamless steel pipe, cold rolled seamless steel pipe, cold drawn seamless steel pipe, extruded seamless steel pipe, pipe jacking, etc. according to the production method. Seamless steel pipes can be divided into round and special-shaped pipes according to the section shape. The special-shaped pipes include square, oval, triangular, hexagonal, melon shaped, star shaped and finned pipes. The maximum diameter can reach 900mm, and the minimum diameter is 4mm. According to different uses, there are thick wall seamless steel tubes and thin wall seamless steel tubes. Seamless steel pipes are mainly used for petroleum geological drilling pipes, petrochemical cracking pipes, boiler pipes, bearing pipes and high-precision structural steel pipes for automobiles, tractors and aviation.
