Design principle of high frequency transformer
 
Design principle:
When designing a high-frequency transformer, the leakage induction and distributed capacitance of the transformer must be minimized, because the high-frequency transformer in the switching power supply transmits high-frequency pulse square wave signals. During the transient process of transmission, leakage sensing and distributed capacitance can cause surge current and peak voltage, as well as top oscillation, resulting in increased loss. Usually, the leakage inductance of the transformer is controlled by 1% to 3% of the primary inductance.

Leakage of the primary coil ---- The leakage of the transformer is caused by the incomplete coupling of the magnetic flux between the primary coil and the secondary coil, between layers, and between turns.
Distributed capacitance ---- The capacitance formed between the turns of the transformer winding, between the upper and lower layers of the same winding, between different windings, and between the winding and the shield layer is called distributed capacitance.

The primary winding ---- should be placed in the innermost layer, so that each turn of the primary winding of the transformer with the shortest length of wire, so that the entire winding with the least wire, which effectively reduces the primary winding's own distributed capacitance.High-frequency transformer
Secondary winding ---- After the primary winding is finished, the secondary winding should be wound with (3 ~ 5) layers of insulating liner. This can reduce the capacitance of the distributed capacitor between the primary winding and the secondary winding, but also increase the insulation strength between the primary and secondary, in line with the requirements of insulation voltage resistance.
The bias winding ---- whether the bias winding is wound between the primary and secondary, or the outermost layer, depends on whether the switching supply is adjusted according to the secondary or primary voltage.
