A heat treatment is carried out on the components for the purpose of improving its mechanical properties. Furthermore, this alloy has self-scaling properties, which is an important characteristic for 42CrMo4 alloy steel tube. The resistance to scaling would effectively lower the cost of treatment. Considered to be a mechanical tube, the DIN 42CrMo4 steel tubes is produced by either cold finishing or by means of hot finishing, which is usually cast in ingots or if required, strand cast. Once the pipe has been hot worked, it could be cold finished, and finally, they are coated with oil prior to being formed. Oiling the surface of 42CrMo4 Alloy Steel Tube efficiently retards the collection of dust.
