The wire billet produced by this method has low precision, poor surface quality, different quality, small coil weight, high labor intensity, low production efficiency and high energy consumption. In the production of copper wire rod, this method has been replaced by continuous casting and rolling. . At present, the vast majority of copper wires no longer use the pass rolling method.
3. Continuous casting wire billet method: The wire billet is directly obtained by casting, which can eliminate rolling or extrusion and related processes, thus shortening the production process, reducing production equipment and sites, and reducing investment and production costs. Continuous casting methods mainly include upward continuous casting, dip molding and horizontal continuous casting.
4. Continuous casting and rolling method: This process is mainly used to produce high-conductivity and low-oxygen pure copper wire rods for communications and cables (oxygen content is about 200ppm, conductivity is 100% IACS), and it has a large production capacity (5-60 tons / hours), high production efficiency and good product quality, it is suitable for the production of products such as pure copper wire rods for wires and cables with huge demand but a single alloy variety
