Steam vortex flowmeter is an instrument used to measure steam flow. The following is a detailed introduction:

1. Working principle

Based on the principle of Karman vortex street, when steam fluid flows through a triangular cylindrical vortex generator in a pipeline, regular vortices, known as Karman vortices, will be alternately generated on both sides of the vortex generator. The vortex column is asymmetrically arranged downstream of the vortex generator, and the frequency of vortex occurrence is related to the average flow velocity of the measured medium, the width of the upstream face of the vortex generator, and the diameter of the vortex body. By measuring the frequency of vortex occurrence and combining relevant parameters, the average flow velocity and flow rate of the measured steam can be calculated, thereby obtaining the volume flow rate or mass flow rate of the steam.

2. Characteristics

High precision: It can accurately measure steam flow rate and liquid measurement with an accuracy of up to 0.5%, generally meeting the standards for trade metrological verification.

Large measurement range: The flow measurement range is wide, with liquid up to 20:1 and gas up to 70:1, which can adapt to steam measurements of different flow rates.

Small pressure loss: During the measurement process, the pressure loss of steam is relatively small, which can reduce energy consumption.

High stability: No mechanical moving parts, simple structure, stable long-term operation, and easy maintenance.

Strong anti-interference ability: less affected by external factors such as temperature changes and fluid viscosity fluctuations, ensuring the accuracy of measurement results.
