The cross-sectional flow meter can be used to measure various wind speeds and air volumes in power station boiler flue ducts and beyond. It can be used to measure the air volume of various fans and other places where gas flow needs to be measured.
Measurement principle
On the premise that there are sufficient straight pipe sections and the air flow distribution in the pipeline has a certain regularity, if the flow velocity in the pipeline is stable and accurate, then the flow velocity distribution in the pipeline changes continuously from zero on the pipe wall to the maximum flow velocity in the center of the pipe. Therefore, a point can always be found in the intermediate change process, and the flow rate measured at this point is the average flow rate. However, in actual work sites, due to the limitation of straight pipe sections, the air flow in the pipeline is unevenly distributed, and the actual wind speed distribution does not have certain rules to follow. However, the section for measuring the flow velocity can be divided into many small unit areas Ai. Assuming that the flow velocity in each unit area is Vi, the total flow rate is equal to the sum of the flow rates flowing through all small unit areas.
Features
Although the flow velocity through each point on the air volume device of the cross-section of the pipeline is not constant, it is required to be stable. In situations where the pipeline installation environment is harsh, a flow regulator is used and is placed upstream of the speed measuring device. Its function is to turn unstable fluid into bundles of stable fluid within the same length, thereby making accurate measurements.
Since the flow velocity through each point on the pipe cross-section wind measuring device is not equal, the value measured by the sensor is required to be as close as possible to the average value. The average value of the sum of the flow velocities at each point should be generated structurally. The detection probe is based on the working principle of multi-point automatic equalization pitot tube to detect the total pressure and static pressure of the air flow.
There is no need for front and rear straight pipe sections, as long as there is an installation position of 250~300mm long.
It can measure airflow at an angle of 30° and is not affected by irregular fluids or even multi-directional rotating airflow.
No on-site calibration is required, that is, the flow coefficient K=1.
The pressure loss is very small.
Both the positive pressure hole and the static pressure hole are in the direction of the flow, which greatly reduces the possibility of clogging.
