When the electromagnet is not energized, the valve is closed; When the electromagnet is energized, the electromagnet creates a magnetic field that pulls the valve up, allowing liquid to flow through the valve.
This solenoid valve usually used in coffee machine and water dispenser.The magnetic design of electromagnet is the core of micro normally closed water valve. When the electromagnet is energized, it creates a magnetic field that pulls up the iron core on the valve, causing it to open. When the electromagnet is powered off, the magnetic field disappears, the core loses its attraction, and the valve closes.
