Telescopic hydraulic dock leveler is a special kind of electric fixed dock leveler for warehouse loading docks. Similar with regular fixed dock leveler, it is installed in a concrete pit made on the loading bay platform. In some cases, the lorry or truck can not pull back to touch the loading dock. There is still a distance between container and dock leveler. In such situation, regular hinged lip dock levelers can not reach onto the container floor. This can be solved by a telescopic hydraulic dock leveler. Its front lip can stretch out by max one meter to reach the lorry container. Then the forklift can run into container through the long slope of telescopic hydraulic dock leveler platform.
In some cold room warehoues, the dock door is in front of the dock leveler rather than above it. This is to completely close the opening to reduce heat loss and keep low temperature inside the warehouse. In such areas, dock levelers need be installed backward of loading bay. Such loading docks need choose telescopic hydraulic dock levelers.
To reach the lorry container, the telescopic hydraulic dock leveler willstretch its front lip to max 1000mm. A long slope is formed for forklifts or pallet trucks to enter container through it.
