Wall mounted ultrasonic flowmeter refers to a flowmeter developed based on the principle that the propagation speed of ultrasonic waves in a flowing medium is equal to the vector sum of the average flow velocity of the measured medium and the velocity of sound waves in a stationary medium.

① Easy installation: No need to break the pipe or stop the water supply, making it easy to measure pipeline flow. For example, external clamp sensors can be installed on the outer wall of the pipeline using the V or Z method.
② High measurement accuracy: The general accuracy can reach ± 1% of the displayed value, and the flow rate is greater than 0.2m/s, which can accurately measure the flow rate of various fluids.
③ Wide applicability: The applicable pipe diameter range is large, generally from DN15mm to DN6000mm, and the applicable media include water, seawater, sewage, acid and alkali liquids, various oils, etc.

The wall mounted ultrasonic flowmeter may encounter the following common problems during use:
1.Large measurement error
Reasons: Uneven distribution of fluid velocity inside the pipeline, improper installation of sensors, scaling or corrosion on the inner wall of the pipeline, and the presence of bubbles or impurities in the fluid can all lead to measurement errors.
Solution: Before installing the sensor, it is necessary to ensure that the fluid velocity distribution inside the pipeline is uniform, and a sufficiently long straight pipe section can be installed on the pipeline. Install the sensor correctly, ensuring that it is tightly attached to the outer wall of the pipeline and the installation position meets the requirements. Regularly clean the inner wall of the pipeline to reduce the impact of scaling and corrosion on measurement. For fluids containing bubbles or impurities, gas separators or filters can be installed.
2.Signal loss or instability
Reason: Malfunctions in the connection between the sensor and the host, aging or damage of the sensor, external electromagnetic interference, pipeline vibration, and other factors can all cause signal loss or instability.
Solution: Check whether the connecting circuit is in good contact, whether there is any damage or short circuit, and replace the circuit in a timely manner if there is a problem. If the sensor ages or is damaged, a new sensor needs to be replaced. Take shielding measures for the flowmeter to avoid external electromagnetic interference. Reduce pipeline vibration or take shock-absorbing installation measures for sensors.
3.No display or abnormal display on the screen
Reason: It may be caused by power failure, damaged display screen, motherboard malfunction, or software issues.
Solution: Check if the power supply is normal, ensure that the power adapter is working properly and the voltage is stable. If the display screen is damaged, it needs to be replaced. If it is a motherboard malfunction, professional technicians need to perform maintenance or replace the motherboard. For software issues, you can try restarting the flowmeter or updating the software version.
4.Unable to communicate normally
Reason: Incorrect communication parameter settings, poor communication line connections, incompatible upper computer software, etc. may all lead to the inability to communicate normally.
Solution: Carefully check the communication parameter settings, such as baud rate, data bits, stop bits, parity bits, etc., to ensure consistency with the settings on the upper computer. Check if the communication lines are connected correctly and if they are loose or damaged. Update the upper computer software version to make it compatible with the flow meter.
